For over six centuries, the craftspeople of Deruta have produced and exported ceramics. Our collection of vases, plates, platters, and more are the same classic designs that have made Deruta vastly popular.

Contemporary variations as seen in the Fresco collections are a newer take on old world design. The Raffaellesco pattern was inspired by Raphaels 16th century frescoes in the Vatican palace. It is said that the central motif of this pattern, the dragon, symbolizes a benevolent deity who brought good luck to sailors of the time. The sea creature supposedly rescued sailors trapped in a dead calm by blowing on the trapped ships sails. Today, it is commonly believed that having a piece of Raffaellesco in your home brings blessings and good luck. Diameter at top of cup 3.5.
