PARAGON Star China Tea Cup Saucer and Plate Trio Set Cobalt Blue Pink Roses Gold

A real treat for the more discerning collector of vintage and antique teaware. This truly stunning tea cup, saucer and plate trio is by Paragon and bears the early star backstamp. Absolutely fabulous quality and design. Superbly decorated with cobalt blue borders, hand painted with lines of green leaves between jewelled ovals containing pink roses, all lavishly gilded. The backstamp would suggest this set was made circa 1920 but there's nothing Deco about this pattern - it's pure Edwardian elegance.

Later Paragon pieces do not even come close to the sheer perfection of the decoration on this trio. The condition is fantastic - no damage of any kind and only the most minor spots of wear to the gilding here and there.
