Antique LONGWY FRANCE Tea Cups & Saucers Plates Set Enameled Pottery

This set includes 3 teacups and 4 saucer plates by LONGWY. Made in France in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The sheen and coloring of these pieces are beautiful and bright - the photos do not capture enough how stunning these pieces are in person.

Authentic - please see maker markings on the bottom of each item. The LONGWY Workshop (of Longwy, France) became known for their enamels, beginning in 1798. More specifically, a style called cloisonné (compartmentalized) referring to discrete sections of rich color. LONGWY enameling is exquisite and there's nothing like it when you see the pieces in person.

The workshop is still in business today, but under a different name, Societe des Fainceries de Longwy et Senelle. These are antique items made in the 1800's, therefore there is wear to them - all which can be seen in the photos.
